The last couple of weeks have been difficult, on multiple levels. My wife Dianne has had a lot of pain in her back. Pain at L4/L5, pain in hip and left leg all the way down. She had surgery in October for collapsed disc but things became worse. The surgeon screwed in a plate, front and back. One of the screws appeared to have caused a fracture, her bones were fragile, we knew that ahead of time. The pain in left leg went away. Then the pain went to her right leg. Since that time Dianne has had multiple steroid shots: epidural, facet joint injection, medial branch block. The pain in the right leg was helped but has returned to her left leg. Her left hip bursa was inflamed, so had another shot. Her IT band apparently is inflamed. This week we learned that the culprit may be a a herniated disc at L3/L4. So we are now waiting for next steps. Dianne is in constant pain. We would so appreciate your prayers for both of us. It has been extremely stressful.
I have also been thinking about the direction for our grief recovery practice. The next 2 weeks I am going to focus on completing and publishing my book, "From Grief to New Purpose". This book will help Christian women navigate their grief, and find new purpose. At the same time, my plan is to get back into posting 3 times each week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please pray for me that I will have the words to encourage and help those hurting through loss.
